Greetings! We are so proud to have you visit our website
today! When you ask most people why they live where they do,
often the reply involves "quality of life" or a reference to the
area's "wonderful people." It's no surprise that our dynamic
little town scores high in both these areas. With a population
slightly over 1,400, Sterlington, Louisiana has a vision and plans
to prosper and continue growing with the help of its residents and
workforce.
We are so very proud of the many
generations of families who have been born and raised in our town.
And we are also very proud of the fact that our community is
attracting newcomers to this area everyday. Great pride in
Sterlington is apparent everywhere you look. You'll se it all
over town, from the new corridor along US 165 that is booming with
activity and new development to the original, quaint section of
town, referred to as "The Village." Our village has quite
proudly been called "home" by generations of Sterlington residents
since the founding of our town.
Sterlington provides excellent
recreational options for residents of all ages. You'll find a
recreational center, ball fields, a boat landing, and a newly
renovated park located along the river. We're very proud to
offer all of this in a place where you still know your neighbors and
greet them warmly each day.
There is no doubt that Sterlington is
an up-and-coming community. Yet, despite all its progressive
growth and energy, our town still maintains the charm of a true
southern community. I invite you to visit us and see what all
we have to offer. We'll greet you warmly, pat you on the back,
and say, "You've Made it Home!" |
