ANGUS Chemical Awards Grant to
DELTA Project

On November 14, 2007 at 3:30 p.m.
ANGUS presented a check for $2,000 to the Town of Sterlington. The
funds are to be used to help the DELTA Project assist Sterlington’s
elderly, disabled, and single mothers, who are need of everything
from minor home repairs to maintenance on their sewer systems, but
who are financially unable to pay for the repairs themselves.
The DELTA Project is the brain child of Pastor Donnie Wilkinson of
Saint Andrews Methodist Church, and many of your town employees have
spent a significant amount of time volunteering to work in the homes
of the elderly in our town. The DELTA project is in need of
additional volunteers. If you would like to help with this
very worthy cause or if you know of someone who needs assistance,
please contact Pastor Wilkinson (email) at 665-4479 or Mayor Breland
(email) at 665-2712. There is an application to be filled out
for those individuals who would like to request consideration for
this type of home repair assistance, and we would be thrilled to add
anyone interested to our list of volunteers. |

attended classes an worked on community projects along with 26 other
